Thurrock LSCB has been graded as "Good" following its recent Ofsted Inspection. The report published on 24 May 2016, shows the Board as effective and innovative, having a clear understanding of the safeguarding priorities and influential in developing better outcomes. One of the key points highlighted is the work with young people on online safety and the risks of child sexual explotation which was seen as outstanding practice.
The report is published alongside the Ofsted Inspection of Children's Services which was graded as "Requires Improvement"
Our Independent Chair, David Peplow commented "I am very pleased with the findings of the inspection which confirms and acknowledges the good work that the Board has undertaken in recent years to improve the services and support to our young people. We will continue to support all agencies and work with Children's Social Care in their journey of improvement"
